would you change DCs schedule to try to make them wake up earlier?
DD is 1 & a half & she's been waking up later & later the past few weeks. I have to admit I love it so I can sleep in or get stuff done before she wakes up but I feel like it's a bad habit for her to get in to. She used to wake up 6-7am but now she's been waking up around 9. Bedtime used to be around 7:30 but she doesn't get tired until at least 8 these days so I start bedtime at 8-8:30. She rolls around until at least 9:30 I'm not sure if I should let her sleep & on the days we have to be somewhere just wake her up or try to get her to bed earlier so she'll get into a good habit for when she goes to school. Will her habits change before then anyway? They go through so many different phases.

I wouldn't change it but on the days I have to be somewhere I wake DS. I never let DS dictate my schedule. He is great at napping anywhere because of it.

Re: would you change DCs schedule to try to make them wake up earlier?
We are pretty much still on a schedule still and I wouldn't change anything. If we somewhere to be early then I wake her 1 hr before we leave.
She only naps in her crib, was never able to nap anywhere, so that's pretty much the same time of day no matter whT time she gets up and we start bed at 8 pm no matter what time she gets up as well. She's usually up I. Her crib for a while before falling asleep so I don't think that's a problem either. It takes a while to settle down and fall asleep.
If you wanted to wake her at the same time every day and that would probably set her on a new schedule. But I don't thi I it's necessary if you are home with her

I wouldn't change anything. How long has she been on this new routine? DD is a year and a half also and I find things change like weekly lately. She goes through phases for everything.

My boy is only 4.5 months but I don't let him sleep past 8:00 because it will screw up his feeding and naptime schedule for the day. He is usually up right around 7 but I don't wake him if he's not lol but I feel like an hour later every so often won't destroy his schedule. (He sleeps from about 8:30-7:00 straight through the night.) But if I were in your position, I'd probably wake her so she doesn't sleep in and so she goes to bed at night. I've always heard that the hours of sleep before midnight are crucial and form good habits if they're in earlier. But again I'm a FTM with an infant so I'm definitely not in an authoritative position but as far as my advice is concerned, I would probably start waking her earlier, probably in increments of 10-15 minutes.

It sounds like you are a SAHM? If so, that schedule seems pretty good. I'd rather my DC waking up at 9 than at 6!
As for me though, I know it sounds selfish, but I don't really want to see my kids after 8pm (I have three and am a SAHM). My older girls (7, 5.5) are in bed then and my 2 year old goes in at 7:30 and wakes at 7:30/8 and I'm very happy with that.

She's been doing this almost a month but it does seem like everything changes pretty often at this age.
