Why does my DD always misbehave outside?
It seems like I have the only kid who throws herself on the floor, won't stay in a cart or carriage.
She yells, runs around..I can't even eat lunch with her outside.
She is 2 years old and I don't know what to do. She is impossible to control. I get stares from people like "control your kid".
It's so embarassing.
What di you do when your kid gets ou tof control?

I wish I knew. It's a constant struggle with my 3&2.5 year old. They use to be so good in stores but recently became so.independent. they want out of the cart or scream like crazy. I find bribery sometimes works where if I give a lollipops, they will sit king enough to get what I need.

Mine too, same way. You see some toddlers her age perfectly content in a stroller or shopping cart. Not this one. I have to give her a lollipop if I need her to chill sometimes.

Re: Why does my DD always misbehave outside?
You are not alone. My dd is 2.5 and for the past 1 1/2 years she's a maniac. She just NOW started not fighting me all the time to be in the stroller. Everytime we were out anywhere when she had to leave or get in the stroller she threw a huge tantrum that sometimes would last an hour the whole walk home.
Now she's been crazy at home too. Yesterday was a good day with only a few tantrums. The day before she was in time out all day literally. I had a dr appt and she threw herself on the floor by the door screaming b/c she didn't want to put her jacket in in 7 degree weather. I had to leave target b/c she was screaming in the crying. Just screaming for no reason.
She is an awful toddler. Such a good baby but once we hit 1 yr everything changed.
It's so sad. And people look at me too.

Re: Why does my DD always misbehave outside?
We can't take my 1.5 year old out. One of us stays home with him and the other takes my 3 year old out. When we do go out together, we always regret it. He will only let me hold him, he won't walk or sit in the stroller and he throws temper tantrums everywhere.
You're not the only one.

Re: Why does my DD always misbehave outside?
Not alone! My 3yr old and 20m old are impossible when we are out. IMPOSSIBLE. I can't take them in stores. They for the same spot in the cart and when I finally think I have it figured out, we walk in and all hell breaks loose. I think I've left stores by the time I get to the vestibule area more times than I've actually made it into the store to shop lol restaurants are a no no. We had to leave Xmas eve dinner before the entrees were even brought out. Nothing works. Bribery, toys, candy, iPads etc. I always see everyone else's kids sitting so nicely in strollers, and sitting so quietly while they eat. I must be a terrible mother cause I have no idea why they are this way!

I give DD my iphone practically daily when we are out. She's obsessed with it and I use it to bribe her . It's TERRIBLE. She's 2 and has her own apps and knows how to use them. It keeps her busy anywhere

Mine too, but she gets bored easily and starts erasing my apps!
