What carseat is your 4 year old in?
My almost 4 year old just seems to be way too big for the Britax Marathon. He is 39 lbs and in the 90th percentile for height. I know the Britax is supposed to go up to 65 lbs, but with all of the winter layers he has on, I am struggling to get the buckles done and undone. I don't take his coat off in the seat, mainly because we live upstate and already have a ton of snow here - it's freezing. He doesn't have a puffy coat.

eta: I saw on past threads that some people recommend the Graco Nautilus and Britax Frontier... Any feedback on either seat?

Nautilus/Argos
Frontier
Evenflo SecureKid 300/400
are my go to seats.
Take layers off in the seat, or even at least unzip and zip them over the harness.
Make sure that the straps are still at or above his shoulders if he is FF, if they're below, that will make it more difficult as well as pose a danger in a crash

I have the Argos (the newer version of the Nautilus). I like it but, its more difficult to fasten than the Marathon and the crotch strap is back far.

I like the frontier. DS is 2.5. He fits just right and has room.

My 4 year old and 5.5 year old are both in the Nautilus. They have a ton of room in them still and will be in them with the harness for quite some time. I find it easy to use and they seem very comfortable in it.

britax advocate. it also goes to 65 lbs. she doesn't wear a coat in it. i take it off and put it over her. she hasn't complained about being uncomfortable at all.

My 4 yo is still in her Britax Boulevard. She is 40 inches and 35 lbs.
I am thinking of moving her into the Frontier (which we have in our less used car) b/c I don't think the angle seems comfortable enough for her anymore, despite how large of a child can fit in it.

Mine are still in their Roundabouts, they are small, not even 30lbs yet, and probably around 40 in. I will be switching them soon and will be going with the Frontier. I was going to do the Nautilus because of price, but I want a seat that doesn't have a rethread harness.

DS is small - 35 lbs and 38.5 in. He still fits into the Britax Marathon without any issue. Once DS2 outgrows the infant seat, I'll probably put him in the Marathons and DS1 in something else. I'm not sure what to get though.
