when did your dc show signs of separation anxiety?
Ds is 8 months in a couple days and shows no signs whatsoever. When did yours start to get upset when mommy or daddy leave or need mommy and daddy to calm down? Tia!

Re: when did your dc show signs of separation anxiety?
She's 14+ months... still doesn't really have separation issues. She's been mushy from teething the past few days and we were just commenting that this is the most clingy she's ever been. She goes to anyone. I leave for work every day without issue. Don't worry

Never, unless she is not feeling well. Then it's hell to leave. She gives me a kiss goodbye and is pretty much fine with me leaving all the time. She will be 2 soon

Except for little snafu's here and there not until 18 months. And we even had to do an extra session of CIO at that point. All kids are different and do their own thing!

Re: when did your dc show signs of separation anxiety?
She's been having separation anxiety lately. I'd say within the past 2 months or so it's been worse and she's 15 months. When I walk away or leave she cries and says. "mama mama mama mama." It usually worse when she's tired. Once I leave though, she is fine pretty quickly after.

The first time was about 8-9 months. But it didn't last more then a couple of weeks. The BIG one was the day before his 1st birthday. Lasted for 3 months!!!!

Re: when did your dc show signs of separation anxiety?
My oldest DS didn't really go through it at any age, here & there he will cry depending on his mood. My youngest DS started around 18 months & now at almost 2.5, he still has his episodes but its all for mommy.

Re: when did your dc show signs of separation anxiety?
my 18 months old was very independent i felt ( sometimes a little too much) wasnt much of a snuggler ....she recently had a little episode where she got sick with a high fever went to the hospital and now ...she is crazy mushy....i literally cant cook , clean , go to the bathroom without her throwing a fit. it can be very annoying at times ( and scary ) i dont want to always pick her up and give in ...but i cave in alot ( poor starving husband and messy house shows how much i cave in )
Good luck to you

Re: when did your dc show signs of separation anxiety?
She had a bad couple of weeks at about 9 months old, and got over it quickly. For those weeks, though, she'd scream when I left her sight and even when I was holding her, if a stranger approached her (like a nice lady at Target saying how cute she was), she'd howl.
It went away in 2-3 weeks, and now that she's 15 months, it's started again. When I drop her of at her sitter's before I go to work, she screams and cries now. She used to hop out of my arms and run and play with the other kids. My sitter assured me that this is just what 15 month olds do, and it will pass... in 3 or 4 months...
