I would get some 1's, but just take whatever the hospital gives you for newborn... my DS is not even 2 weeks and I already put him in 1's a few days ago.

I would not. I stocked up on Pampers brand from NB to size 3 when DD was born only to bring her home and find she was allergic to them. Thankfully my BFF was preg and due soon so I gave them to her but I wasted a lot of $$$. I would only do one small pack of newborn or size 1. You can always order from Amazon, Walmart or Diapers.com. They usually ship the next day.
