How far in advance do you buy DC clothes?
We have a wedding in September that the twins will be going to. I bought a dress for DD that I fell in love with. But it's so hard trying to figure out what size to get when it's that far away! Now I just have to hope she keeps growing at the same speed and hopefully it should fit her then.
How far ahead will you buy clothes for DC?

DS is a peanut and grows slowly. I've been pretty good about estimating his size a few seasons ahead. I love taking advantage of end of season sales and buying for the following 6-12 months. I didn't really do this at the beginning b/c it was harder to guess what size he'd be.

If there is a good sale on jeans or pants I find that I can buy a size up because they will fit in either the spring, fall or winter. Shorts I only purchase closer to the summer unless I can buy new for less than $3, then I will get them and hope they fit. DD and DS will be in a bridal party this fall and I am waiting until the last minute to get them outfits because who knows what size to get. DS I could prob estimate but DD I am having a much harder time estimating her size.

I buy up to a year in advance....she grows slowly and has always been really predictable, so she makes it easy on me.

when they are under a year or two, I dont by anything in advance, bec they grow a lot faster...but then when it slows down after 2 yrs old, where they are in the same size (2T, 3T, etc) I but some essentials like jeans that are multi seasonal, or sweatshirts...but for the most part I buy before the season....
unless I am in a sotre like Old Navy that has a mega clearance sale and I see thing for 2 bucks I'll pick up a few things!

Same... He has been true to size since birth and I expect it'll continue that way for a while.... We just bought a boat load of stuff for next winter for super cheap on clearance.

In the winter i shopped clearance and DD is clothes through the end of the summer this year. And this spring/summer i will hit the clearance rack again for this coming winter for her.

i only do one season ahead bc it's too hard to figure out what size they will be. my boys are now 7 and 6, i used to buy a season ahead but the way they grow it's sooo unpredictable so now i just buy when they need that size they are in.
