Question about First Response OPK

Has anyone had any success with the urine OPK's? I was thinking of buying the OV Watch just to try it.

Last Saturday we late at night and I tested the next morning and both lines were very pink (which indicates the LH surge).

Then we again later that evening. So the next morning, I continue to test anyway, and I had one light and one dark pink line ( no LH surge).

So is it the best time to before, or during OV? I know the window for OV is 12-36 hours but I'm hoping this did the trick.

FYI I have a 44 day cycle and my last period was 4/27. We plan on through Memorial weekend.

Again, I appreciate the thoughts and advice.

I think it's best to before you O that way the sperm are there waiting for the egg!

i think u willget arguments from both sides,some say better to before bc that is what worked for them and some after they got the positive

i have no idea which works,i have read both ways it was better so my best advice would be to as much as u can when u get ur positive for at least 3 days

Before! So that's exactly what I was thinking. That's why I thought having the two dark pink lines the next morning was reassuring but we'll see.

Anyway, DH wants to give the watch a try as an alternative. I read that it got mixed reviews but friends of ours swear by it.

Your egg is only able to be fertilized for 24 hours. Sperm can live inside for a few days, but it takes time for them to travel up to your egg. Therefore, it's better to have ther sperm waiting for the egg.

I'd BD a few days before your anticipated +OPK and then continue every other day past the +.

So, ideally, the day before postive OPK, then also BD the next two days to cover bases.

I know that I don't actually O until about 36 hours after positive OPK so I got a positive opk on CD19 and CD20 and BD both those nights. I am pretty sure I O'd on CD21.

We got a BFP this cycle so BD the two days before O worked!

I've had success both ways. The first time I got my on a Friday and that night and got pg. This time, we on a Monday and I got my two days later on Wednesday and a bfp two weeks later. I think it's best to before and after.
