Anyone giving birth at Winthrop
I am new to the area, and will be having my next dc there. We are not ttc until late summer. I am just curious, the website doesn't have that much information. TIA!

I gave birth at Winthrop in 2010 and will be giving birth there this June.

No, you have to pay for a private room. They do try to fill up the rooms with one patient at a time before doubling up. I had a room mate last time and even though she was a complete nightmare it just wasnt worth it to me to pay all that extra money for two nights - I looked at is as practice for being woken up all night by the baby

I had DD there in 2006 and will have this baby there as well.
I love that hospital. I didn't have a problem with anything and the staff was all pretty helpful. (I was also there yesterday at the ER).

I had my kids there in 2004, 2006 and just this past February 2012. I recently wrote a review of my stay.
