Winthrop birth class was today
We did the 6 hour sunday class and it was such a waste...no offense to people who like those classes, but I can read and did read so much, this woman did not share anything new with me.
And if you had gestational diabetes some of the stuff doesn't pertain to you because your kid is going to NICU right after birth anyway
just trying to save some of u the money!

Sorry you didn't like the class. I did one at my dr office since they said the hospital ones get really crowded and you can't ask as many questions. Was your class crowded?

Re: Winthrop birth class was today
nope, there were 8 couples and we were able to ask question, but she talked so darn much she left my head spinning and I guess I was over prepared with all the reading I have done, plus 3 of my best friends have kids so I have a lot of knowledge from my btdt friends

Re: Winthrop birth class was today
I didn't waste my time with any classes/hospital tours when I was pregnant with DS. And I certainly don't plan on doing any this time.

You go over stages of labor, signs of labor, epidural, csection, all thebasics, but if you rent.buy a dvd or read a book you will know all this already
Its no reflection on Winthrop, great hosptial, just think the class over all from anywhere might be more of a waste then I knew

Have not done these classes, im cpr certifed for work so I dont need to take that. I dont plan on taking a bf class, the lactation consultants will work with me in the hopstial with the actual baby. That class is only 20 bucks so if you feel like u want to take it, go for it. The preparing for childbirth was 175 and now I feel kinda robbed
