another staples/stitches post with a Q

I found out from his patients (at the waiting room) last week that Klein does staples. "he is a staples guy" as one of the nurses put it .
I am going to request stitches when I see him next week.

Has anyone requested stitches with a dr who normally does staples? Did they agree or is it really not something you can "negotiate" ?
Anyone know?

I had staples and never thought about the stitches v staples before hand. I had almost zero pain with my csection and the staples came out within days of my section. My sister had stitches and had a ton of pain. I don't know if it was the stitches or just how we each deal with pain and heal.

If I had to do it over I would def pick staples.

I think its how each person deals with pain....

Stitches are definitely the preferred way to go because it has fewer complications. Perhaps bring up the concern to the drs office and see if they will do stitches on request and mark your file in advance that you want it.
