Neither of these are our town but both north bellmore and hicksville had theirs. My son is obsessed with firetrucks so we went to both.

West Babylon has our tree lighting this weekend (Dec 3rd). They have a small parade down Little East Neck Rd that the FD does. I'm not sure if they will do the rounds during the day before the lighting or not. I love this!! Even the older kids get excited.

Wantagh. My neighbor's DH is a local firefighter and told me the Santa Run is on Sat. Dec 17th.
The past few years they do a run in our neighborhood on Christmas Eve too.

not exactly sure. It's usually in the late teens. I'm going to guess and say 12/17. I live for this too. It's such a touching and magical experience to see the kids faces light up and scream as santa approaches. the anticipation of knowing he is a few blocks down is awesome. lol the kids go nuts.

i'm glad people like this but I HATE it. The last two years they came around about 9pm and woke DS up....guess it would be more effective if they came around EARLIER

coram FD is 12/17 my neighbor is in the fire department so he lets me know the day and the time inwhich he will be on our block so we dont miss it

My santa comes on the Christmas eve....around 7pm....I know last year my son was all relaxed watching tv...then holy Mary mother of god .....the sirens ...the lights....it was a bit overwhelming......he was scared and caught off guard.....and I will never forget he went to bed so angry....and woke up just as twisted....

My ILs live in Wantagh and we used to live with them. Their neighbor is part of the FD and I think he said that on xmas eve they go to each of the member's houses. So we always get to see them b/c we spend xmas eve with my ILs. I think my DH likes it more than my kids.

They come around so late because they literally drive around all day and get held up at some places because of large crowds. They want to make sure they reach everyone.
I know it can be a little annoying later at night once the little ones are asleep, but it is only for one day, and they are doing it for the community, not to be a disturbance.

North Babylon tree lighting is this Friday night, Dec 2nd. The parade starts at 7:30, up 231 starting at NBHS.
I believe Santa drives around with the fire trucks on Saturday, Dec. 17th.

The West Babylon Christmas Parade is Saturday at 5:00 p.m.on Little East Neck, starting at 3rd St. and going up to 11th St.

The Belmont Lake Tree lighting is also this Saturday, Dec 5th, starting at 4:15.
---
The Town of Babylon Tree lighting is this Friday, Dec 2nd at 6pm (at the Town Hall on Sunrise in Lindenhurst).
