I've been fighting a really bad cold for a few days now. Last night I had a temp of 100 and the ob office had the nurse call me back. She told me to go to my dr today. I have 2 that I use. 1 is on conference and the office is closed and my other dr's office won't answer their phone because they only take scheduled appts on Thursday's.
My temp is now 99 so I feel like it's going to start rising again. I'm always 98.6.
So now what???? I took another day off of work to go to the dr :(

Also, my mom claims that your OB should she you if you're sick. I'm so confused because the nurse made it seem like they couldn't help me there. My mom wants me to call the OB back.

I would drive to the second doctor's office and explain what's going on. I'm sure they can squeeze you in. Feel better!

I would make some phone calls and try to get in somewhere today!
Call the doctor who only has appts and explain that you are PG and running a fever for over 24 hours and you really want to be seen...
OR...
Call your OB...I went to mine on Tuesday to get a strep test and to get checked out bc I was feeling really crappy, they said it's no problem if you are PG...they know what meds we can take, etc.
And as a last result I'd look into an urgent care place. There is a great one in my town that is so prompt, clean, and they do a great job!

After trying 3 doctors and no success, I'm going to the OB office. Geez, who knew it could be so hard to get a dr's appt?

It's very hard. I usually end up going to Urgent Care when I'm suddenly sick.
I secretly wish that DS' pediatric practice would take me on as a patient because they always have same day appts LOL!
ETA: My OB doesn't do sick visits either because they don't want to expose the other patients in the waiting room - which I see their point.
