How do you keep dark jeans from fading? Any special detergent?

How do you keep dark jeans from fading? Any special detergent?
Just bought a few dark jeans and I had some from last year but they got so faded. any suggestion?

Wash inside out, in cold water and I believe it's Tide that has a color blocker that will help against fading.

Woolite Dark
Cold water
Don't wash them every time you wear them. Try to limit washing to every few wears if you can.

Don't dry them in the dryer!
Air dry them and then run an iron over them lightly to take the "crispness" out of them from air drying.

i use cold water and tide, i've never had a problem with them fading. and i do use the dryer for them.
i don't wash them every time i wear them though, and i only wash jeans with other jeans, or dark navy uniforms - don't know if this helps or not.
