Where to register?

Are you registering at Babies r us or Buy Buy Baby?

I have had bad experiences buying for others at BBB. The store is always a mess, items broken, out of stock, obviously returned packages not put together right just thrown on the shelf. Maybe its just the store I go to?

Re: Where to register?

I will probably end up at BRU because I live in Medford and there is only one BBB and I don't think people will want to travel. Personally, I love BBB.

Re: Where to register?

I did both. I found that they had some different stuff,, however I did find that the prices in buybuybaby are much better.

Re: Where to register?

For my first pregnancy, we registered at both. I definitely prefer BBB- their staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and helpful, their return policy is easier, and they have a better selection for a lot of stuff. The only reasons we also did BRU were because they had a couple items that we had decided on that BBB did not carry, and because BRU has a lot more locations so we thought it would be easier for people buying gifts.

Re: Where to register?

I've always found BBB to be better organized, neater, and easier to shop in than any BRU. I go to the one on Old Country Rd. off the Meadowbrook the most.

Also, I figured a lot of my shower guests would have Bed Bath & Beyond coupons they could use there.

I registered at Amazon too - people who weren't coming to the shower or were from out of town tended to buy from there because of the lower prices and the free shipping.

Re: Where to register?

I did both. Some people live closer to BBB some closer to BRU and my mom felt it was best to do both so I did.

Re: Where to register?

I did BRU and Target. BBB is not convenient to either of our families. And while a lot of people buy online, many wait till the last minute and want to buy in person.

Re: Where to register?

For DS, I registered at both. The bulk of my registry was at BBB (which is the store I preferred). I only registered for a few items at BRU because we had a lot of friends who live in Brooklyn and had no BBB nearby. I am actually shocked to hear about your experience at BBB. I go to the one in Garden City and find it SO much more organized than BRU. The staff is also so knowledgeable and helpful there and returns/exchanges are a piece of cake.

I registered at BRU and Amazon. I found for so many things Amazon was A LOT cheaper (just one example of many: fisher price newborn rock n play sleeper at BRU (and most places) is $50. It's $40 at Amazon.) I'm also having twins. So, it really adds up.

I did both but if I was forced to choose between, I would def say BBB. The people are just so much more helpful there and I havent had any problems with returns. Plus I like the store set up much better. good luck!

Re: Where to register?

I plan on registering at both. There are a few things that only one or the other carries that I want.
