baby shower
Did you have/will you have placecards and arranged seating for your shower?
La Famigila gives them out and prefers that you do this. I never saw this before (but havent went to many showers in my life). Is this a common thing to do? Would you do that?
I guess it's good because it avoids people not knowing where to sit and sometimes that can be awkward.

Yes, we will be having arranged seating and using place cards. Every shower I have been to has always had place cards.

Definitely having.
Some people are always late & it's awkward when a seat wasn't saved and they have to sit with all people they don't know.
Plus, DH's family is notorious for showing up with kids or extra people they didn't rsvp for.. so in that case, they can be squished at their table without taking other people's seats that rsvp'd.

when we had my friends shower we had placecards. It makes it easier. When seats are limited to the amount of guests you have, you want everyone to be able to sit with who they want to sit with. If someone shows up late they might have to sit with people they dont even know. I think its better to have the cards.
