If your male co-worker was expecting a baby, do you throw a baby shower for him?
I have a male co-worker who is expecting a baby this month. I thought it would be nice to get him a decent gift (~200) off his registry and bring in some cupcakes.
Do you throw baby showers for your male co-workers?

When we were having DD last summer, his co-workers (just on his floor) threw him a little shower at work. It was really sweet  DH called me to see if I could stop by, I couldn't but they took pics so I could see. Oh, and it was a surprise shower (very little party...it was like gifts and a cake)

I think you should do it! At my DH's job they all chipped in and got us a gift card at BRU which was great. They also bought cakes at crumbs and ice-cream and all signed a card so in essence he did have a little shower. It was all a surprise to him, he had no clue

When we were pregnant with our first, DH's co-workers surprised him with a baby shower. It was really sweet of them!

Yes. In our office, its the same for guys and girls.
Same where I teach! We always have showers (bridal and baby) for both males and females!

yes, it should be the same for men and women. he's still having a baby even if he's not physically giving birth

My DH's coworkers threw him a surprise shower. He was really caught off guard and was not expecting it at all. They all chipped in and got of some gifts off of the registry.

dh had one last yr for our second daughter - it was so unexpected and he loved it!!! We couldn't believe how generous everyone was - and it was dh's first shower since he had another job when Samantha was born!! I am sure your coworker will love it!!!

When I worked in the city we did throw showers for the men having babies.
They threw a shower for my husband at work.

When we had DS , his coworkers in the office he was in at the time threw a small "shower"....cake, gifts ect!!
So sure!!! Do it!

Absolutely, my male coworker was expeciting a baby a few years back, we had a big shower for him, Oprah came and everything...
