So confused about mortgage and escrow
What is the deal with escrow?
They sent me notification that my payment was increasing each month to cover the escrow shortage.
Now I just got a bill for the escrow shortage that they want me to pay.
I thought thats why my payment was going up.
None of it makes any sense me, why are they asking me to send a payment in full if thats why my monthly payment is going up?

when that happened to us, we had the choice of paying the shortage in full or receiving the increased payments. Is that stated anywhere for you? I'm sure it is the same.

it's probably to cover the shortage for months passed, and monthly pmt is increasing to cover the future.
that's my guess bc we had the exact opposite just happen (got a refund check, and a notice that monthly pmts are going down).

Ughh thanks I will call them on Monday. It's just such a headache with this company every month it's something else...
