We are doing our bathroom. I need advice Please!!
We gutted our bathroom. I have no idea where to begin with re doing it. I really need the most cost effective way. Should we hire a general contractor? Or do we hire everyone seperatly? Does anyone have someone that they recommend? I really appreciate any advice. Thank you

We are using one of Dave's clients to do the basement... if we ever buy this house. He is a contractor.

Step 1- Have a plan before you gut your bathroom..... 
Do you have a rough idea of what you'd like in there? That will definitely help anyone would will be working on it.
Walk-in shower, whirlpool tub, plain tub with shower head, double-sinks, pedestal sink, tile in just the shower, tile wainscotting, etc.
The more you have written down, the easier (and cheaper) it will wind up being. If you have no plans at all, you usually wind up spending more than you planned, since you look at everything separately, and not the bigger picture.
