Bloating...

So I got my BFP on Monday (I am only 4 weeks today - AF would have been due today)..and I have been having bad gas since Monday (like gas pains in my stomach).

Is this common this early on? When does it go away?

Re: Bloating...

Congrats to you!!! Unfortunately, it doesn't go away. It is due to the rising progesterone in your body, which slows everything down. Happy and healthy 9 months to you!!

ETA: my situation may be a little different. I'm on 400 mg of Prometrium (progesterone) per day so mine hasn't left yet.

Re: Bloating...

Totally normal! One of the first symptoms many ladies complain about is the bloat!

absolutly normal...mine finally susided towards the end of the first tri...however, it does still happen from time to time..

ETA: Try eating smaller meals, and dont eat too fast, that usually keeps bloat and gas down.

Well at least I am not alone at least! I guess I will just continue taking my tums every now and then! I heard those were safe to use and they do help some!

Oh the joys of pregnancy but I am sure all worth it :)

Yup. 4w3d here, and still bloated! I've noticed it's a bit better if I watch my sodium and drink enough water....but it's still there.Chat Icon
