Sooo sick of facial hair
Is threading the answer or is there something else I should try? I have so much hair all over my jaw and up the the sides of my face. I don't want to have it waxed. Please help. I live in Suffolk county.

Re: Sooo sick of facial hair
Threading HURTS! especially on the face I have done it and broke out pretty bad I only thread my eyebrows....I would recommend bleaching your facial hair, it makes such a difference.
This is from my experience.

Can you share any information about laser hair removal? I have thought about that also. Is it permanent? About how many treatments does one need? How expensive is it? Any recommendations for a place to have it done? Do people ever have a reaction? I'm sorry for all the questions but maybe you know about it. Thank you very much.

This is only temporarily permanent. Electrolysis is permanent.

No, it's not permanent. It's temporarily permanent. Depending on your hair will determine how many treatments you'll need. Count on quite a few. It is expensive and yes people have a reaction, not everyone but people do.

I had laser hair removal done on my legs in 2005 and do not have to shave. I have a couple of hair but basically am hair free.

Thank you all for your responses.
What is the difference between electrolysis and laser treatment? Is electrolysis invasive? Is there a huge difference in the cost?

My person charges me $20 a session. Expect about that price. It is permanent. You will have to do several sessions though. (Hair removal you need several as well.) I don't know the cost of laser hair removal, just know it's more expensive and not permanent. Electrolysis isn't invasive. It's a super super super tiny needle that goes zaps the root of the hair. There is some discomfort, but there is with laser as well.
Who said beauty was pain free?

Re: Sooo sick of facial hair
We do Laser Hair Removal at The Skin Clinic. Laser Hair Removal is the most effective way to permanently removing hair. When you wax, thread you are stimulating your hair follicle which makes additional hair grow. Please call or FM for a consultation. I am giving specials to LIF.

Re: Sooo sick of facial hair
If your facial hairs are blonde laser will not be effective. Electrolysis is the only way to go.

Re: Sooo sick of facial hair
I was thinking about laser removal too. I've never heard anyone say that it's not permanent....just that it may take more than a few sessions for different people. I'm surprised to see so many people saying that. I wonder why?

Re: Sooo sick of facial hair
Laser did not work for me at all. Everything just grew back thicker and darker. It was a complete waste of money in my opinion. Electrolosys worked for me.

Re: Sooo sick of facial hair
I have been doing Laser Hair Removal for over 7 years. If its done right with the right settings it is permanent..I charge for a package and give you unlimited treatments for up to 2 years. Eletrolosys leaves little holes in your face and lip...I have many clients that complain about this. Laser does not work on light hair and works best on dark hair because Laser attracts to the melanin in the hair follicle. I will be happy to sit down with anyone and go over how Laser Hair Removal works..I also have a little video on my site that explains the procedure..In my opinion its the best deal for your money.

I've had permanent results. I mean I went from a 5oclock shadow on my chin to nothing....it seriously was the best decision EVER. My place gave me unlimited treatments for 2 years as well. They actually extended it because I got pregnant right after my intial treatment and you shouldn't have it done while pregnant. I have a fair-medium skintone and dark italian hair. The RN that did the service said I was a prime candidate for tx. It will change your life!!
PS I had it done here

Re: Sooo sick of facial hair
I've had electrolysis and it is definitely permanent, but I am very hairy and still have hair. It's very annoying that I went to SO many electrolysis appointments and still have hair. With electrolysis, they have to zap EACH hair follicle, one at a time And yes, you feel it. I used to have to apply a numbing cream for a half hour or more before the appointment to make it less painful for me.
I am really considering laser. It's so expensive though, so I would have to save up for it etc.
