We're not trying to have another one either. I was never on birth control for the 4 years I was dating him.
once i'm able to get back on that horse, this is what i plan to do as well, the pull and pray-we-don't-have-another-one-too-soon method 
i was on birth control in college and post college years, i don't wish to alter my hormones like that anymore...
I just talked to my OB about this the other day because DH and I used nothing for years as well. He said that if you are or plan on breastfeeding you can ovulate without getting your period. Basically, you won't know when you O'ed so BC is a must if you don't want to get preggo right away and are BF'ing.
If you are not BF'ing then, you should be OK.

Im on ortho tricyclen as well... I gotta say though- I think it has alot of neg. effects on me (mainly exhaustion and no sex drive )
Im so worried about becoming pg again- then I throw a little of that no sex- rule in there as well... (I gotta say DH isnt too happy about that one)
I try to watch my cycle as best as I can- to make sure Im "OK" to go...
I was told Im not a good canidate for an IUD... however if I really wanted it... I could go for it...
Im not sure what to do!

Yes, it can be taken out at any time. There is a very low dose of hormone in the Mirena. Usually within 6 months your periods disappear. I've already noticed a difference in 3 months.
