i don't understand though - wouldn't it be better if they helped you get it out of there? It's just lingering on its own? I'm sorry, I don't know much about this - I always assumed that a D&C was for that reason....

may i ask why do you not want to have a d&c?
i had one and i have to admit, once i had it done i just felt better. like i could finally move on and try again...
anyhow my thoughts and prayers are with you!
I don't want a D&C right now because I want to first be 100% positive this pregnancy isn't viable before I make any decisions to terminate it. The only bit of "hope" (if you want to call it that) is that there is something called "vanishing twin" syndrome and from what I have read what I have gone through seems to be what you would expect in that situation. I bled for 4 days, had cramping, thought I miscarried but here we are a week and a half later and they saw a gestational sac and yolk sac. (which from everything I knew couldn't be seen until your hcG was around 1000.......on Monday mine was 190) Also, with vanishing twin it's more common in women over 30, those who had IF treatments, and it's common to see a slow rise or even sudden drop in hormone levels as you miscarry the one twin and then everything starts progressing normally at some point.
Look, my no means am I really holding out hope here.........I 98% positive this won't end right but I did find the vanishing twin thing interesting given what's been going on, the fact that I had 2 mature eggs this cycle, and I am 35. I guess I will know more this afternoon. If my hcG takes a drop we'll know a full miscarriage is likely however, if there is some crazy sudden spike in my levels maybe there is hope. Time will tell.
Also, I don't want a D&C if this pregnancy isn't viable because it will put me out of the game (yet again) for weeks, possibly months and I cannot stand the thought of not even being able to try again until practically Xmas. I just hope this either ends naturally and quickly OR by some grace of god this turns out to be all ok.........although I doubt the latter.

See my response above...........I don't want anything done until they 100% certain this isn't viable AND because a D&C requires down time for healing and recovery and I don't want to be out of the game for the next few weeks/month. KWIM?

omg i'm so sorry you are going through this and are stuck in the waiting game. i know allllll about losing hope and finding hope and feeling sad, angry, frustrated, etc so if you ever want to blow of some steam please FM me. we lost a baby last year at 12 weeks and then i just had the ectopic so finding hope and stay positive has been a HUGE struggle for me but somehow we all pull through. keeping you in my prayers...

oh i am so sorry! i totally didnt take into consideration that you have rising numbers... i too would not want to be too hasty and terminate.

I am so sorry. I agree with you waiting until you miscarry on your own. There was someone on here who thought she was miscarrying and was scheduled for a D&C and found out she was expecting twins. I know it is hard to keep hope alive when it seems that all you find yourself saying "If it is not one thing, it is another". The time will come when things work out, even if it is not this time.

Could be vanishing twin or maybe what happened to me..they also saw a sac but my beta was like 50...basically the baby just stopped growing..since you bled and had 2 eggs maybe the other one MC first or maybe the sac in there is ok..stay strong and just wait it out...waiting stinks!!!!! Good Luck
