now that i am preggo with #2 we def need a bigger place. We have been house hunting with no luck.

We were just offered the option to buy my moms house....we would rent for now ( since we never owned a home to make sure were comfortable with it being im a sahm. we can afford it on paper with extra but i want to be sure.) but my mom and dad would be living with us ( which we have done before and it was fine). We would have the entire house and they would have one bedroom. So its techincally not "our" house yet. I told Dh and he got all mad he said we could afford our own place so why not buy our own. Should i just drop it or talk to him about it. He doesnt even know all the details i told him we could rent the house for xxxx.
We have been joking for months about buying the house...the yard is HUGE which we really want. He was all we would buy it but they would never sell it blah blah and now that they brought it up to me its like he has another opinion

sorry this is so long im just so confused. It would be an AMAZING oppurtunity but i dont know if i should just say thanks but no thanks

if you buy the house will your parents still continue to live with you?
Temporarily - I could live with parents. But not for good.

i don't think i could do it not with my parents or my husbands - before when we were renting i think i could (we practically did when we rented an apartment from my inlaws) but now that we've had our own house for awhile i don't think i could share space anymore - i like privacy and my own laundry room, my own kitchen, i have my own cleaning routine, etc. i considered having my sister come live with us for a little but i don't think i could share the house even with her

but if you guys can do it than it might be a good thing if your parents do plan on selling to you and moving out eventually....plus while you are there you will have help with the kids which could benefit you...

it's such a personal decision - for us, i don't think we could share a home if we didn't have to...
