What kinds of things do people buy at yard sales?
We were thinking of having one before we move but we're not sure we have anything great to get rid of, but we might. What do people buy?

Re: What kinds of things do people buy at yard sales?
I'm a huge fan of yard sales. These are some of the things that I look for/have bought:
-housewares, like curtains, pillows, decor, etc
-furniture
-antiques
-baby items
-clothes

Seriously.....ANYTHING you are getting rid of -- people buy everything at garage sales. We have sold clothes, baby stuff, toys, books, kitchen stuff, knick knacks, VHS tapes, CD's etc.

Anything! Seriously, I was laughing at my sister when she put some of her old shoes out for sale... I was like, who buys used shoes..
Well, they all went the first day! Gone! Now I'm cleaning out my closest in hopes of getting rid of some for the next one we are having!

Re: What kinds of things do people buy at yard sales?
I just helped out my son's preschool tag sale and we made so much money for his school. It was twice what was earned last year.
What sold well:
books
toys/games
kitchen items
decorative items
furniture
clothing
kids accessories (strollers, bath tubs, etc)

Anything baby/kid related usually goes very fast. People are always looking for spare things to leave at grandma's house!
