When to BD after + on OPK

This may be a dumb question but I tried an OPK for the first time and once you get the positive line, should you BD right away, or wait a day? The instructions say once you get the line you will ovulate within 24-48 hours so does that mean you should wait 24 hours?

you should BD THAT day AND the next.

eta, unless you are dealing with low sperm count.

thanks - what if you are dealing with low sperm count (I don't know if we are he hasn't tested yet) - does it really make that much of a difference if he abstains for an extra day?

there are reports that say that if you have low sperm count that it will take about 24 hours for the male to produce a good quantity of healthy sperm.


I'm not *positive* though because its not something I have researched in great detail.

I would BD right away. I got a +OPK on a noon test, after charting my temps, it seems that I ovulated the same day that I got the positive, so you never know.....

I agree with Deb. We BD every other day (well, we try to) and then once I get a postive OPK we BD every day (usually 3 days in a row) until I'm sure I ovulated.
