siding question
Can anyone give me an idea of how much siding costs? I have no idea and Im just trying to get a rough idea.

i think for us it was 1,300 sq ft and it was average of 12K for siding normal vinyl not shingle or anything fancy but these were last years prices.

According to my contractor
Basic siding is 3.75 sq ft installed
cedar looking siding is 6.50 square foot installed
don't forget soffits(over hang) 3.75 per foot run on a 1 foot over hang.
also do not take off for doors or windows, due to the extra labor involved.

look at your appraisal it will have your sq ft for your house (not the entire plot)

We have a rear dormered cape and just had it done by someone a friend used and he did a fantastic job. It was $5,700 for siding, shakers in the front, all new caping and soffet. FM if you'd like his number!
ETA: it also included insulation.

i have a split and we got quotes in the $8k - $12k range. We had 4-5 quotes.

I just used Quick Start Construction! We paid about 6500 for top quality vinyl siding but with cedar shakes in the front. We have a rather large split!
