So Cold...updat...we ok now
So I know this isnt parenting related....but theres so much more traffic here. Some suggestions would be great...
We rent our house and we are fully responcible for all utilities...including oil. Well, last month...about 3 weeks ago we ran out of oil when we were supposed to be on an auto delivery. Cost us 200 just to get it running...and then another 600 to fill it up. Now with the nicer weather, we have even turned it off for a few days. During the coldest months of the winter it took us about two months to go through the whole tabk.
Now, we have a balance with the oil company still since we asre in a reeeeal bad finicial spot right now....So 'i know if i call them they wont come do anything for us till we pay the balance, but we just dont have itr now. Well, its freeezing in my house for the 2nd day now. Its coldeer in here then outside...
I'll be bringing DS out today to keep warm, but still... I want to know if there is a way to jump start it or something. I know we couldnt have ran out of oil...and the gage is broken so we nebver realy know how much oil we really have.
Any suggestions would be grseat, sorry for the typos...typing with one hand LOL
TIA

Re: So Cold...
I have no idea what to tell you. But I woke up freezing yesterday and today as well. I turned the heat on yesterday and forgot. DH got home and was P I S S E D. All day long, I thought it was cold out because the house was freezing and I never went out

Re: So Cold...
We rent our house also ,and when we had an issue with our heat not working they sent out a tech to look at it . The guy thinks somehow that red switch was shut off. Can you call a tech to come?

Re: So Cold...
Check the home boards but I'm pretty sure you can use regular gasoline to hold you over. Then, press the restart button and see if it helped.

Re: So Cold...updat...we ok now
I remember you posting this before...if you need to jump start it, you can always put some diesel in it too. Our landlord is responsible for oil, but twice he was away and we ran out
ETA-FM me if you need help, my DH can give you or your DH exact instructions

Anytime. Hopefully it is fine now
BTW, are you responsible for the maintenence on the furnace too? That's a lot of responsibility for a renter...
In our last house, we were responsible for the oil, but not the equipment. Check your lease
