Please help quick!

My friend had a stray cat kind of adopt them. She hasn't seen her in about a month and she just came back to her house and one of her eyes is falling out of her head. My friend has not a single penny to take this cat for care and she is terrified that it will be euthanized at a shelter. Does anyone know where she can take it (she's in Suffolk) to be looked at that won't charge her up the caboose?

I don't live in Suffolk so I don't have a rec but she needs to get that cat to a vet asap. Is she close to plainview at all? What about Long Island Veterinary Specialists? 163 South Service Road, Plainview, NY 11803
(516) 501-1700. I believe they are a 24 hour facility.

Re: Please help quick!

There is a 24 hour animal hospital in Coram (i think) but i don't know what they would charge. I know they are expensive but I don't know how they handle strays.

There is definitely a cat hospital in Coram. Brookhaven Cat Hospital (631) 698-8282.

Also, Island Rescue with is on 112 in Medford. I don't have their number.

I think because it is late she may need to take the cat to a hospital.

Good Luck.

Re: Please help quick!

Thanks. We're right by Island Rescue, but of course they're closed. I told her to take the cat to the Animal Hospital in Coram. I know they charge up the rear for anything, but maybe if they explain the situation, they can guide them in the right direction? Thank for your help!
