Finding a home is the most stressful thing EVER. I could not understand how people could ENJOY it.. you get your hopes up on a place only to get them shot down... not accepting your offer, another bid on the table, they took it off the market... we ran into all of these on multiple houses.
You WILL find your house, I promise. It took us weeks with looking EVERYDAY to find our house in which we are in contract now.

is right!!! where r u looking? what kind of house? ill help u!  it is so stressful~ we just found a house after like 2 years of looking and it needs so much work. but has potential ans ia anice area. so hang in there. there ia light at the end of the tunnel. haa.

ugh, at first it was ok, it was exciting and fun - but after 6 months i can't deal
just like you said - you get your hopes up for nothing....
and looking out of state is HARD, really hard....and there is NOTHING good going on in the market where we are looking in - if it was nice house we tried making an offer on it already so right now we've pretty much exhausted all of our options!
now we have to wait and see if anything new gets listed that we like  and that is really torture - just waiting for new listings which are few and far between...
and i don't want to settle on something but at this point DH and i feel like giving up and just getting anything - even if it is a townhouse - just so we can move already and get our life started....but at the same time i don't want to give up and regret it......
so we wait.......

It was a hard process for us too. But in the end, we bought the house that I never thought we would have bought......the fixer upper....the ugly house on the block. But we are making it ours over time. we are getting there and so will you and your DH. Just have faith that in the end you will have the house you really wanted. The waiting is hard, but the end result is much better. Lots of  for a house soon.

hang in there.. its a very stressful process, and once you start, you just want it to be done with. I know its frustrating, but think of it as a short term complication to get to a long term goal.

That's how I feel. We have been looking for a few years on and off now.
But I don't want to settle. I settled in my current house and we are so miserable here that I just can't settle again. So please don't settle for something you don't want. But I hear ya, we want to move on with our lives already too!!

This is SO true!!! Try to be patient, it's all worth it in the end! Unfortunately the stress lasts up until the second you walk into you new home, then you know it's real and finally over!
It took us 2 years to find our home, but it was worth every bit of every weekend we were out searching!

Being out of state is very hard. Why not just move to FL and rent for a few months? So you will be there and you can look. Eventually you will find something.

We were thinking of that - but the longer we stay here the more money we can bank b/c of my salary, so the one advantage to staying here is we can save more money.....when we move down i'll probably just work part time and that is no way comparable to what i make here full time...sooooooooo i guess that is one good thing about being up here longer - by the time we move we'll hopefully have a lot more money saved up

DH and I have been looking on and off for 3 years and we finally found the PERFECT house. It's totally worth the wait!

thanks guys!
part of it is that i am so impatient (well after so many months i think it's ok to be a little impatient ) - knowing that there is nothing for sale that we like or can afford is killing me....so basically we have to wait to see if anything comes up for sale that we like.....
and i am kicking myself for walking away from that short sale - we could be closing right now
