I think the BC pill ruined everything!!?! Help!

Soo I was on the pill for almost 7 years when I decided to stop to try and have a baby. Well 5 months later I still had no period so I went to the gyno who gave me provera to "jump start" it. I got my period after taking it, a 10 day long heavy one at that, and now don't know whats next? The doctor said it would most likely not restart my cycle and I would have to take it again and again untill it did! I did ovulation tests on cycle days 14-21 and they were all negative but on day 20 I got a dark brown discharge and today (day 21) it changed to a little dark brown with red blood... I have no idea if this is my period and its just really early or if something is wrong? Has this ever happed to any one before? Should I be worried? I really want a baby but its so hard to track my ovulation when my body is so messed up from taking BC for soooo long!!! Someone please tell me theres hope!! =( I will greatly apreciate any help anyone can give.

not sure how much I can help bc my story isn't excatly the same but...

I was on BC for over 8 years. Came off in January (started trying right away) and got my period right on time in Febuary. But I don't think I actually O'ed and I think my period was really just the lining shedding itself without ovulation. So then in Feb. I decide to start using opk's and I just kept testing and it was always neg! After I went thru two boxes - I decided I wasn't ovulating and just stopped tessting. Dh and I continued to bd during the week and week after I was supposed to O. Then AF time came and went. I was a week late when I went to the obgyn. All test (including blood) came back as a negitive for pregnacy and thyroid problems (which he said can affect ovulating). So they called me and said that he wanted me to come in for a sono in two weeks. I had pretty much come to terms that we were out of the running this month and probably next and figured I would have to go on medicine. Well, teo days before my sono appointment (last week) and already 3 WEEKS past my AF due date, I took a HPT bc I just felt strange and it was POSITIVE! I don't know what happened! lol. It seems like it took my over a month to even ovulate. They said I am still very early and probably didn't even conceive until I was already late.

I know this isn't excatly like ur story, but I hope you don't give up hope! I sometimes think that if DH and I would have really given up and didn't bd at all even though we thought we were having problems... who knows how much longer it could have taken. Hang in there!
