TTC Question

Hello everyone! I've been lurking on this board for a little bit and finally have a question. I am done taking my BCP this weekend so I can start trying to regulate my cycle off the pill before TTC.

I have a random question...

I didn't take 3 pills in 2nd week of my cycle so I started bleeding for about 5 days last week (tripled up and continued taking everyday like regular)...was that my period or just spotting? Do I count that as my period (even though I'm also going to get one next week). I am asking so I know when to put my first day of my last period to find out when I'm ovulating
