Zoloft and Ovulation
I've been told that Zoloft can be an ovulation inhibitor. How much truth is there to this?

Re: Zoloft and Ovulation
I've only ever heard that st. john's wort (which is homepathic pill for depression) can interfere with the BCP. I've never heard anything about zoloft and ovulation. Check the website.

Re: Zoloft and Ovulation
When I was starting to TTC I went to the Dr b/c I was on an SSRI. He never mentioned that it would interfere with ovulation. I was concerned about being on it while TTC b/c of unknown effects it could have on the baby if I did become pregnant.
Feel free to FM if you have any other questions.

Re: Zoloft and Ovulation
Yeah, I've spoken with my doctor and she actually switched me to Zoloft for conception purposes. I don't think this person knows what she's talking about. She keeps telling me that I need to learn breathing tactics and start exercising to deal with my anxiety. Keep in mind I exercise like a dog (for enjoyment purposes) and breathing/St. John's/supplements have note worked. Not only that my problem isn't anxiety. It's much more deeper than that and drugs have literally saved my life.

I've been lucky and have been pretty ok with being off the meds while TTC. Anxiety is my problem.
A second opinion wouldn't hurt. It's always good to talk to more than one person. You need to have a plan that you feel good about. That alone will make a huge difference. Being on the same page with your healthcare provider is huge (especially when TTC -- IMO)
Good luck to you!
