Did you register for $5 items?

I feel a lot of things I need are very little. It almost seems silly to put them on a registry.

I ended up scanning them but am considering just taking them off.

Sure...pacifiers, breast lotion, teething rings...I have a bunch of stuff on there for less than/around $5. If people buy it, then I assume they'll throw it on top of a bigger gift or put it in the wishing well.

I don't even know what a wishing well is. I can obviously speculate that it is some sort of box where you write a wish for the new mother to be. Do you put a small gift with the wishing well?

I am so clueless with this stuff. I've only been to one baby shower in my life and it was a jack n jill one.

Re: Did you register for $5 items?

Yep. Many people got them for the wishing well, and one of my friends bought all the "bits and pieces" type things and put them together into a diaper cake & moses basket.

ETA:

A wishing well is just a box that looks like a well and people put smaller gifts in them. Sometimes they include a message, but not always.

Not really, I might've had 2 or 3 little things in there. I ended up getting a WHOLEEEEEEE LOT of little toys, teething rings, and odds and ends like medicine droppers, toothpaste/toothbrush. People just usually pick up that stuff for you anyway.

There night be people that don't make much money and with the economy getting worse, some $5.00 items might be good options for them. Im doing the same. A few mor expensive items but alot of item $30.00 and under.

Re: Did you register for $5 items?

ABSOLUTELY! The little items are perfect for someone making a basket....for diaper cakes....wishing wells..and as PP said for people on a lowed budget. I tried to put a good range of prices....sizes of items and quality for everyone. I love the idea of a registry but didn't want anyone to feel like crap if they couldnt afford the most expensive things on there.....The little ittems add up quickly though. I have a few...well more 7-9 dollar items really with books and cds's
