car seat installation

hey guys, I know I asked this before, but somebody had a link to places that do the car seat installations. I checked in search and didn't find the link.

Anybody have it? Thanks!

Re: car seat installation

Can I ask what it is that is usually done wrong? We put ours in yesterday and the LATCH system seemed pretty straightforward.
I am on bed rest and can't go out to get them inspected. DH pulled the straps as tight as they could go and we tested it according to the instructions in the book. I am so afraid that we didn't install them right though.

Its always recommende you get them checked teh first time you install them. There are a TON of things that you can do wrong. They also give you recomendations on teh best placement of the car seat (S) in the car, things to use?not use. Like you shouldn't use baby mirrors or seat protectors under the car seat.

Usually you need to make an appointment and a lot of times you can get it done on teh weekend. Can you make an appointment and have your DH bring it in on the weekend to have it double checked??

see we didn't even know that our car didn't have the LATCH system, so it was good that they installed it the right way for us.

the police officer (our local inspection was at the police station) said that the most the seat can "give" is an inch. he installed it so tight that when he moved the seat, the car shook with it.

if you can't go, can DH go for you? i'm sure you installed it correctly, but if you want to put your mind at ease, send him as your rep Chat Icon
