I am out.
So- I'm out. Just got AF. I'm beyond sad. It's been at least a year now.
I'm running out of patience and I don't know how many more months of disappointment i can take.
I called and LM with my doctor. Next cycle she wanted me to do IUI w/ clomid- but I don't know how comfortable I am doing that without some additional testing.
The whole thing just makes me so sad and makes me feel so defective... and worse, like a bad mom b/c I can't give my daughter a sibling.

Dina I'm so sorry. 1) you are a great mom regardless and 2) like I said see about some other tests...it may just be a little piece of the puzzle that is missing.

Re: I am out.
I am so sorry. Ask your doc to do CD3 and CD21 testing. It will check your hormone levels and give you an idea if something is up. Good luck to you!!

Re: I am out.
Stop with that thinking. You know it will get you nowhere. You cannot change the situation, just your reaction to it.
Im so sorry for you. I really am.
But make a plan, stay positive and hopeful ( easier said then done I know ).
Honestly, what tests have you had done?
Before an IUI I would do Day 3 testing for your fsh and progesterone and estrogen levels. Make sure those are normal. And also have your thryoid tested. That can mess with your cycles.
Do you have normal cycles usually? ( meaning 28-31 days)
Maybe then JUST clomid. Theres no reason to do IUI with the clomid, it really doesnt increase your chances that much and they have found success rates are even higher with Clomid alone.
Also I just read a study I think I mentioned on her ethe other day that the new average time couples with no issues have to conceive a 2nd child is a yr. Thats the average. Thats a long time.
Then if your testing comes back ok and CLmoid doesnt work, Then I would do an HSG to make sure your tubes are open...and take it from there.

I'm sorry It is so easy to feel defective...I felt that way this month too. Being on LIF helps so much because I can see that I am not alone.
Good luck with whatever you end up doing....

Thanks. I know I'd feel better if I wasn't so darn hormonal I already did three months of clomid earlier this year w/ no success... then I had to go in for more testing, but I switched doctors b/c I moved. I had a boat load of testing done- not sure if she tested my thyroid or not.. but I didn't have CD3 testing yet- so I"m going to try & push for that this week! I already had the HSG and it was clear. so i'm not sure WHAT to do at this point. the whole thing is darn frustrating. It isn't like it was easy w/ maddie, it wasn't- it took me like 8 months to get to the point of getting to a doc and then 2 months on clomid for it to work- but that's why I thought this time around the clomid would work too! b/f Maddie my cycles were pretty crazy and annovulatory. the good thing is since having her, I haven't really had any annovulatory cycles, but they are a little longer that most- this time was 35 days.. so I don't get 12 cycles a year, I get 10.

Re: I am out.
Did they test you for PCOS?
I would insist on the CD 3 tests asap. And thyroid...
Do you use OPKS's?

Re: I am out.
You are not a bad mom!!!! And I know this because currently I m not able o give my DD a sibling either.
DH has had a SA and it came back normal. So I have an appt today with my Ob/Gyn. I am nervous to what he'll say. I don't know if I am ready for the whole IUI thing either, but I am also not ready for a non-answer either!
Did you let your Dr know that you may want to look at other options, are there other options?
I hope you are able to get some of the answers you are looking for.
