If you time everything right...
and you know that you ovulated, what are some reasons that you would not become pregnant?
This is what I could think of:
1 - Issue with DH's sperm
2 - Not enough EWCM
Any other ideas?

Oh gosh, there are so many reason!
Well I'll say first that there's just unexplained IF. That's what we are dealing with right now. We timed everything perfectly for a year, and still did not get pregnant!

As far as other reasons go, of course DH's sperm. There count be issues with the count, morphology, and/or motility.
Egg quality issues.
Implantation factors.
Mechanical factors.
Also, the only way to really confirm ovulation is by ultrasound. Other than that, there's nothing definite. My RE said that even temping is not 100% accurate in pinpointing your ovulation date. OPKs detect a SURGE in your LH - but that does not necessarily mean you ovulate then (although it's likely that you do).
You could have trouble with your uterus - polyps, cysts, etc. that could stop implantation.
There are really so many factors!
My RE also said there's only a 22% chance of conceiving each month. But with that, 57% pregnant within 3 months, 72% within 6 months, 85% within 1 year, 93% within 2 years.

believe it or not STRESS is a huge factor... when all you do is think about getting preggers and you are consumed with it day and night that decreases one chance.. the body picks up on this..when you relax it happens i know alot of cases like this

Things I have heard:
Your mucus could not be compatible with DH's sperm.
If you take too much caffine, apirin, blood clotting issues, etc your embryo could have a hard time attaching to the wall of your uterus.
There are many issues. MAM is right tho, sometimes, it's just unexplained.

not only the things that the other girls mentioned...
but even if you do EVERYTHING right and know you ovulated... its not guaranteed you will get PG... they do say a 20% chance in a years time... so you have to put those factors in as well..

my doctor told me point blank - if you had PERFECTLY timed BD'ing for a year and were both in PERFECT health - after a year - your chances of being successful are only 50/50.

ITA and also are dealing with unexplained IF. My RE did find and remove a uterine polyp, but he made it very clear to me that polyps do not necessarily contribute to IF.
