hi! I am new to this board
I am a regular LIFer but I don't want anyone in my family to know we are trying soon
I just went off my BC. How long were you off your BC before you started trying? When did you start prenatal vitamins?
I have a obgyn appointment soon
I am so nervous! It will be our 1st baby!
I am also excited!

Welcome!!
My doc said to start trying after one month off BCP. He also told me I could continue to take my multi vitamin with a Folic acid supplement.

I have been on BC for like 10 years
I want to "cleanse" myself away from it
but u guys think it is a good idea to start the prenatal vitamin now? I was reading people saying the Target one was good.

Its a good idea to start prenatlas now to start building up folic acid stores in your body that are crucial for neural tube development from the momment of conception to about 12 weeks.

ok cool. we really ideally want to start trying in July and I wanted to make sure that was enough time to be off of the BC
I will pick up some vitamins

I was on the pill for 9 years. I started TTC as soon as I went off the pill. My doctor recommended that I start taking a multivitamin with at least 400 mcg of folic acid at least 3 months before TTC. I switched to prenantals when I got pregnant. Good luck!

We are not TTC yet either, just getting ready for it.
But my gyn said to go off the pill and the first month after I get my first period off the BCP, that is when you should try. She said your cycle wil be the most regular at that time.

I can't answer your BC question because it's been a bazillion years since I tried it, but I started taking prenatals when I started TTCing.
