Are you hanging anything above the crib?
I have seen decorative mirrors etc., but am wondering if it is safe to hang anything above the crib. Are you keeping that wall bare or installing shelves, hanging a picture etc.?

We have these hanging from DD's ceiling- but not directly over the bed. She loves the butterflies and waves to them evey morning and night....

I have a canvas wall hanging over DD"s crib. Over the twins cribs, they'll each have a canvas picture. I don't think I would put a mirror or anything really heavy over the crib.

We just have a cross hanging above my sons crib...I was too nervous to hang anything else.

if it's secured correctly, it's fine to hang something. but you need to do it right.
we have his name hanging---an earthquake would probably be the only thing that could rip them down. they are extremely secure

Nothing for me, for this reason. I have old plaster walls that can never be trusted.

Im hanging letters over her crib. They will be anchored in. In 3 years that we are living here, nothing has fallen off the walls. I can't imagine it would start now.

yep, there are a few pictures on the wall near the crib, and over the crib, there is a very light mobile (old school style... made from paper and thread.... pic below)
I figure we're not in an earthquake zone, so it's pretty safe....
