I would have to say the ride because be it a good ride or a bad ride it makes you a stronger person. We learn from our experiences! IMO

I think, and i am assuming, that there is a point in your life where you are done...I don't mean living and changing but your life has occured in monumental ways (of course that is different for everyone). So imo that is one destination.
But yes there are smaller rides along the way with their ending...
the question is what you make of it really and how you chose to interpret it...
I guess I don't see my life as having a "destination". I can't imagine being "done". Maybe when I am old and gray and getting ready to pass- that's when I think about being done.
I am so proud of all my accomplishments (school and work stuff) , and so blessed for the things I didn't have a whole lotta control over (meeting my DH, getting pregnant, etc...).
I just look at all the joy ahead of starting a family and watching my neice and my daughter (and any other children we may have) grow up and hopefully I will be around if she has children of her own someday. I guess I just look forward to sharing my life with the people I love. I think that is the ride. I can't imagine being "done".
So for me it is definitely the ride.

Thats funny, I was going to quote "what doesnt kill you makes you stronger" in my response. However, for me those things that didnt kill me and made me stronger if I had to choose over again, I would probably not want if I had a choice. I am so destination. I would rather be at a good point then travel the road of hardship.

I picked the destination because I have to say the ride thus far Stunk.. I m happy where I have arrived coming out of my divorce .. I am happy that I grew personally but I did not enjoy the experiences one bit .. But am Definitely happy where I have arrived .

I guess what I want to say is even if your destination in life is worth it, you should also try to enjoy the ride to get there as much as possible.
