Spinoff to Shower Invites & $$$
Did anyone order invites on line and then just run them through their own printer to scan? I'm finding that the printing costs as much as the invite, making them really expensive. Trying to save grandma-to-be some bucks!

Order them from ebay. I get all of my invitations on there. Much cheaper then regular websites.

Didn't you like these? You can order them blank and then print them yourself from here.
Way back... I got my rehearsal dinner invites (which I did have printed), and my day after brunch invites (blank, and printed myself) from this site.
They have a ton of cute stuff, and I had NO problems with printing myself. I almost kicked myself for not doing it with my RD invites.

I just went to Staples and got some baby-themed paper. It was $6.99 for 100 sheets. Then we printed them ourselves.

check out hallmark in the clearence section, I bought really cute ones for like $4 for a box of 10 of them but I have to print them.. It's worth checking out.

I think my mom bought mine at target  obviously not too expensive.
I love stationary, but I personally also think it's a waste to blow lots of $$ on a shower invitation...
we will be spending a decent chunk of change on the birth announcements, though.

I have done this with engagement invites but you might want to try ginger snaps...she is a vendor on here and I used her to make my parents 30th wedding anniversary invites and she also is making their thank yous to match. She is very reasonable and she does beautiful work.

hey,
I got my invites at the party city in west babylon. they have invites that they do the printing on in the store. they definitely have some cute ones there and the price is great. Also, the hallmark in the farmingdale shopping center with the movie theaters have printable invites too!

I got mine from AC Moore.......really cute baby feet invites. I spent $20 total to get 60 invites. I used the 40% coupons & paid only 3.90 per box for 5 boxes of 12 invites. I took my sisters, my neice & nephew & we each bought a box using a coupon.
I printed them myself & they look better than anything I saw online. I also print the addresses right on the envelopes. I LOVE how they came out & I am so glad I didn't spend alot of money AND have wait a week to get them in the mail......
I'll try to take a pic & post them in a bit.

check out vistaprint. i order ALL of my invites on there. google "vistaprint 50% off" to get a coupon code. we did baby shower and baptism invites and they came out great
