Cycles Regulating?

Okay, I think this is a good sign...

Since tracking my cycle post ovarian surgery (in May) this is what I've got (before this point, I could go 50 + days, sometimes two months without AF.

Cycle 1: 38 days
Cycle 2: 54 days (this was including time from surgery and bleeding from D & C)
Cycle 3: 41 days
Cycle 4: 41 days

(By days, I mean the amount of days between the two. In this current cycle, I am CD4.

This looks better right? I hope so!!! Chat Icon
Chart experts, what do you think?

I have not started OPK's because I wanted to see how this would all play out for awhile. Now things seem to be getting more regular...maybe I should start those?

It sounds like they are getting more regular and consistent!

Are you temping or anything?

no, believe it or not.

partly because my gyn. thinks i am not ovulating every month, so she thought it might be way too long between surges for it to be helpful and would just make me crazy.

partly because I wanted to wait to heal from my surgery.... Doctor said that it would be safe to be pregnant by september so i was not stressing it until now. Chat Icon

Okay, so you're on CD 4, right?

I would start OPKs on CD 10, keeping in mind that you'll probably need a lot of them!

Maybe try the Target brand ones for now - they seem to be affordable.

You could probably start on CD 20 even, but I wouldn't want you to possibly miss your surge just in case you have a surprisingly short cycle.

Thanks for this! I was unsure when I should start.

Re: Cycles Regulating?

i'm even more irregular than you and i got a 20 pack of OPK's and ran out of them. I go two surges, but did not ovulate. I'm on CD 56 and I think I may be ovulating now. I'm def going to temp next cycle.

I would start on CD 14 if I were you, 10 is probably going to be too early.

this is what i am afraid of and the doctor isnt' sure i am even ovulating each cycle... i know i'll be running out of them and just over all feeling extremely frsutrated and let down. but i suppose i have to start somewhere though.
