Re: I'm not feeling the baby yet
Don't worry--it's coming!!!!! But once you start feeling it it's SOOOOO weird!!!! I was sitting in a workshop today and suddenly the baby moved--and I jumped! Everyone looked at me like I was crazy!!!!

Re: I'm not feeling the baby yet
I think the main reason why i feel this baby sooner is because it is my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy I felt nothing until I was well over 20 weeks

Re: I'm not feeling the baby yet
I think it depends how tight your abdominal muscles were before this, which effects how much the uterus protrudes.
I am right around you, 17w4d and I felt the first movement at 15w6d. The last few days I feel it every single night, it is very distinct. BUT...I have weak abdomimal muscles and have been "showing" since I was literally a day pregnant. So I think that's why I feel it, such as why they say women who have had a child already feel the second baby sooner (due to weakened abdominal muscles).
You probably have tight ab muscles that are keeping the uterus more contained? They say normal is more like around 20 weeks, so I really would not worry yet if I were in your shoes.

Re: I'm not feeling the baby yet
I didn't feel DD until almost 22 weeks. I was overweight to start with.

Re: I'm not feeling the baby yet
btw- i am 20 weeks today, and have been feeling what feels like real flutters all day today for the first time. before that, for the past 2 weeks or so i'd feel a sudden twinge that last 2-5 seconds, but really didn't know if it was the baby or stretching pains. Today definitely feels like flutters.
