Be honest with me...

This is my first 2WW and I am very excited yet impatient. Be honest with me because it will help me prepare myself mentally for the future...does this wait get any easier? Or is it always this difficult?

Nope it doesn't get easier.
I think after a while I learned to deal with the stress and excitement better.

To be perfectly honest, I think it only gets more difficult as you go on.

I'm at the point where I can't even fathom seeing two lines on a test. It just doesn't seem possible anymore.

The 2ww is always hard. Your mind and body can trick you into believing things or feeling things that it can drive you crazy.

I have just gotten to a place where I am pretty steady during my 2WW and we are about to enter our 11th month. This was the first time where I didn't POAS at all and I didn't find my heart breaking when I knew AF was coming.

Lots of luck to you, and hey - that's why we are all here! We're here to support each other and get one another through these very difficult times! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks for the honest answers ladies! I'm the type of person where if I don't prepare myself for the worst, I'll fall apart if it happens. My DH thinks that I'm being pessimistic that way but I think that I'm just being realistic. Plus, I'm actually helping him out in the long run because if I'm not prepared, he's the one that will have to deal with me! Chat Icon

Re: Be honest with me...

the wait sucks and honestly, the whole pregnancy you wait for doctor's appointments, wait for sonograms, wait for blood test results, etc Chat Icon

Re: Be honest with me...

It's worse than when I was a kid waiting for Santa. Hopefully it will end with a nice BFP for a present!Chat Icon
