hmm.. i grew up going camping, so i'm trying to remember
besides the basic tent, sleeping bag, pillow...
lantern
pad/air mattress to sleep on
deck of cards/games to play at night
supplies for smores
non perishable food- we used to eat a lot of soup, spaghetti,etc... stuff that doesn't need to be refridgerated
foil- if you do have a cooler to keep some veggies cold, we've done these "foil pack" things... rip a couple squares of foil- put a hot dog or bratwurst on them with some cut up potatoes, onion, carrots,whatever. wrap the foil up so its all in a "pack"... throw that on a grate over the campfire and you have a meal without having to use any pots or anything 
camping chairs
bug spray
ax to cut up fire wood

depending on where you are staying you may need to bring a tin for a fire pit, BUG SPRAY, flip flops for the shower, sweatshirt for the cold night
