early labor??
im 36 weeks and 4 days.. and today I woke up today at 9am with contractions or braxton hicks.. still not sure. I started timing them from 5-10:30pm.. some are stronger than others and some last longer than others. I really dont know what to think about all this. See the times:
5:00 5:08 5:14 5:24 5:50 6:09 6:19 6:30 6:44 then i fell asleep and woke up at 8:45pm..and again they started at 8:56 9:01 9:09 9:23
I think you guys get the idea..and its still going on but not at a steady time..anyone experience this.

Re: early labor??
Sounds like what I just went though on Sunday and Monday. The OB even put me on the monitor and confirmed I was having contractions and they were 10 - 15 minutes apart. However today they were gone - not a one!!!!
Could be early labor or false labor. Do you feel just tightening or does it feel like a bad period cramp? Tightening is probably just BH and cramping is most likely a contraction. However until they are consistent it's probably just your body practicing.
Good luck!!

Re: early labor??
its def. period cramp like and the pain runs down my legs just like my period does.. and the dull back ache with them too..DH is getting nervous! I dont want to go to L&D to be sent home, although my dr. was going to send me to L&D and changed her mind at my visit today. Is it even necessary to go to L&D just to see if i am having contractions and not braxton hicks?

Re: early labor??
Could be. Its hard to tell. I had contractions last Wednesday and haven't had any since. My OB said to call when they last over 45 seconds each and are 5 min or less apart for 2 hours straight.

Re: early labor??
I was 36 weeks and 6 days. just make sure your things are ready. your water may break soon or labor may kick in harder. sounds like you in labor to me. They will prob tell you to wait till they are closer and lasting longer. Call them if it makes you feel better. Even to just give them the heads up or to make you more relaxed.

Re: early labor??
The same thing happened to me. I was 38 weeks and started having irregular contractions.
The next day, I went into real labor and delivered a day after that.

Re: early labor??
as of this morning, the contractions are still continuing. This is frustrating! I noticed the last contractions I had before I fell asleep last night def. were more painful than the first ones in the day.. this morning ive had a few painful ones and some mild ones also irregular pattern. The baby is still moving around and Im drinkng water. When I get up and walk around I get them more frequent so Ive been staying in bed. Im not sure if I should just go to the hospital just to be checked and maybe they can check the fluid too. Ive been guilty of not drinking enough during the pregnancy too. Ugh, what do i do!?

Re: early labor??
I would call your OB simply because if I remember correctly you have a scheduled c-section due to health concerns. So the Dr may want to check you out. My friend had a scheduled c-section set up fro 2 weeks before her EDD and the baby had other plans, she went into labor 4.5 weeks before her EDD and had her little girl.

Re: early labor??
i think i will be calling them this morning. They didnt seem to want to move up the scheduled C section when I told them what was going on yesterday. I couldnt understand why b/c my c section is scheduled for only 2 days before my due date! They also think Id be going earlier.. i almost think they want me to go into labor on my own and then they will do the c section. Ill give them a call today and tell them the contractions havent stopped since yesterday morning.

Re: early labor??
I had almost exactly that pattern on my due date....but then it stopped and I had to be induced a week later...you never know, but it sounds like false labor to me.
