Did anyone see the Newsday Story today?
About Alex Koehne?
Such a saaaad...saaad story.
Being from Sag Harbor, and growing up with his cousin, this really hits home. It just makes me soo sooooo sad..this boy's life could have been saved!

It's such a sad story and a scary scenario.
My brother had a cadavers ACL transplant about 5 years ago and since been diagnosed with two different rare auto immune diseases. Multiple Myeloma and Cushings Disease. Since the diagnosis of the second we have been wondering if this could have come from the ACL surgery. I'm not sure we'll ever know.

Ugh, my brother had the same surgery! I would have never thought that this could happen. So awful.

I did not know either till I peeked at the Sag Harbor Express on Friday.
I cannot believe this--it has been soo sooo hard on Alex's whole family & all his friends, etc, and now this--and I cannot believe it has been a year already either!
