Question about PCOS
If it means that you don't ovulate every month, there are some people that don't have a problem getting pregnant right?

Re: Question about PCOS
Well, it decreases your chances. Someone who ovulates every month has a chance to concieve every month. If you only ovulate a few times a year, then those are the only chances you have to conceive.
When is your doctor doing more testing? Have you thought about seeing an RE?

Re: Question about PCOS
I was diagnosed with polcyctic ovaries, but do ovulate. I got my BFP after 4 months of trying so it is very possible. There are different severities of PCOS.

Re: Question about PCOS
If you have PCOS and are not ovulating on your own, it will be impossible to get pg. If you are ovulating but infrequently then there is a chance but it could take a long time to get pg. I would recommend seeing a RE to help you get to your goal more quickly.

you need to get bloodwork done on CD3. Your doctor should put you on provera and then send you for CD3 bloodwork.
Honestly, most ob/gyns do not have the capabilities to handle PCOS. I stayed on metformin with my ob/gyn for three months and luckily she sent me to an RE. I was reluctant to go, but now I wish I had gone sooner.

Re: Question about PCOS
I know a girl (friend of a friend) who has PCOS, thought she would have trouble getting pg and had no trouble at all...I guess she BD at the right moment!
