Those who've done IUI
Ok, started testing at home yesterday; haven't seen surge yet. I have appt. for ultrasound tomorrow AM so they can see what's going on and if the Clomid worked.
My question is; will they be able to see tomorrow when they may want to do the insemination? DH is of course working on special project at work this week and we were just trying to figure out what day he will have to come with me.

they may be able to give you a guess but mine ended up being about a week and a half after they thought it would be b/c I progressed so slowly.

Re: Those who've done IUI
Ok, that's what I was wondering because the nurse at dr.'s office made it sound like it would be right away but having read alot of posts about having to wait, I started getting confused

Re: Those who've done IUI
what did your last sono show as far as follies went? I may have misunderstood your post. Do you ovulate on your own? Is that what they're waiting for? If so, then they most likely will know when you'll have your IUI... I think mine was about 36 hours after my ovidrel injection... GL!!!

Re: Those who've done IUI
Thanks; I was told I have very rapidly aging ovaries. That's why we're trying the Clomid and the IUI (DH also has some motility & morphology issues).
All the best to you too!!

Re: Those who've done IUI
The follicle size and blood levels are looked at to determine when ovulation is about to happen. I always have to wait until I get a phone call in the afternoon to tell when the trigger and IUI are going to happen. Usually when the follicles get to be 18mm your IUI is going to happen within a day or so. GL!

Re: Those who've done IUI
Well, if your follies are the right size, they can give you a trigger and then your IUI would probably be the next day. They should also take blood to see if your LH is surging. If you don't have any dominant follies yet, you'll have to go back in a couple of days. Its all a waiting game.
