someone please lift me up

so a little backround information.. i am married to my second husband.. he and i have one child together (who by the way, we didn't even try for ) who is 2.5 years old. We have been trying for another for 18 months.. i have been thru multiple tests.. bloodwork, HSG, post coitals.. you know the routine.. my husband JUST had a seman analysis (i dont' know why we never considered this might be him) and i just got the results.
His "form" is less than 8!! (whatever that means)
and he definitly has antisperm antibody. anyone dealing with this problem? is there any hope for us to have another baby?Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

edited to fix the "form" numberChat Icon

There is definitely hope! Are you under the care of a RE? IUI may be able to help you. Best of luck and Chat Icon

even with 20% morphology..what happens to the 80%? do those sperm just not make it thru the washing?

they will do washing among other things and you'll be left with a concentrated sample, which will have the 'best' of the group. GL!!!

its the "other things" i worry about. the morphology problem is one thing i'm more worried about the antisperm antibody. (HE has it.. so it attacks his sperm before it even leaves his body!!)Chat Icon

20% morphology is actually pretty good!! We has 4-5% morphology, but they said that wasn't our biggest problem (ours was motility and count as well!). I definately think IUI's can help the anti-aperm antibody, but get in to see a RE. Having a diagnosis is a great start to getting on trackChat Icon

That is an immune issue-acupuncture can help that. Try reading the male sections of the book The Infertility Cure by Randine Lewis. You could also do a phone consult with a reproductive IMMUNOLOGIST--I have a referral if you want to FM me

actually I think 18% morp is almost normal these days, 20% is not low at ALL.

We had 4-6% morp.
