Opinions on promotional items given out by businesses.

OK, my DH owns a business that does custom automotive electronic installations (remote starts, stereos, TV/DVD players, navigation, satellite radio etc.) he was trying to come up with some ideas for things that he could give to customers, or something to leave for them in the car that would be some sort of advertising.... he already does key chain lights and pens... any ideas of something cool you've seen that you didn't immediately throw away???

i usually keep magnets to put on my frig in case i ever need something done again

We give & get promotional things at work & I like mousepads personally, but it doesn't fit the industry.

I also have a lot of magnets from places... Calendars can also be good.

What about ice scrapers/brushes?

I went to a place one day in the pouring rain and when I was leaving the guy said to me, Hey do you want an umbrella, they're free? I was sooooo grateful!!!

i was thinking of doing calendar magnets for my real estate business....but now i'm rethinking that b/c EVERYONE else does that.....I want something different...

One idea he had was a CD holder that goes on the visor.... what about that?

What about those fleece throws? I always keep a blanket in the car and those are a good size to keep around.

I ususally keep the travel coffee mugs for the car too - until they get gross and then throw them out.
